If you wish to apply for the OZEV grant available for electrical charging installations, we will look to organise this on your behalf. We have provided this supplement document to help ensure that you have eligibility with a qualifying vehicle and property for the grant scheme, which we will ask you to familiarise yourself with on page 5. 

If your more than happy to proceed we can begin to gather information that would aid us in the process of installing an EV charging station at your property. Additionally, if you feel that you meet the eligibility if you wish to apply for the OZEV Grant, we will ask for further information in this pack

At the back of this package is a detailed checklist which will kindly ask you to complete and send back with all relevant information and evidence where we have provided examples. This will help us identify your electrical supply and additionally, if applicable, supplement our application for the OZEV grant on your behalf if you wish to apply. We hope this should take no longer than around 20 minutes to complete. 

Depending on your responses and the information sent back to us in this package, we will look to contact your Distribution Network Operator. This step will be handled by our in-house team that will look to ensure that the electrical supply and connection is ready for installation. Additionally, we will make the DNO aware of the installation taking place at your property.

As EV Charging stations, are high demand appliances, this is a vital stage to ensure your electricity supply can cope with an added outlet. Although we want you to be aware of this, there is no need to worry however, as we will let you know if they are any outstanding issues and there are multiple ways in which we can load manage, so that suitable capacity exists within the installation and at the property.

Once our Technical Team is satisfied that your electrical supply is adequate and you meet the OZEV criteria if applicable, we will then provide a no obligation quotation for the work. If applicable, we will deduct the grant amount of the quotation fee if you were on the Grant Scheme.

We may need to conduct a virtual site survey to simply ensure that the existing equipment and property are suitable for an installation however, we will let you know in advance for a time that suits you best.This will likely be done via a video call with yourselves, however, if you are unable to provide this, appropriate photos of the installation site will be acceptable.

• On the day of installation, our uniformed engineer(s) will arrive in a sign written van.
• The engineer will ask you to confirm the preferred location of the EV charge point that was discussed in the virtual survey.
• Installation of smart EV charge points usually takes around 3-4 hours.

Whilst the installation is taking place, we will ask to complete an EVHS Installation Form to essentially verify that the information you have provided throughout this process is correct and will need to sign it as a declaration.

Once the installation is complete, the engineer will test your new charge point and sign it off and you will receive a certificate for the work from the NICEIC. The engineer will also talk you through using your new charge point and answer any questions you may have.
